No matter how beautiful and nicely furnished a preschool might be (and we’re very proud of our beautiful wooden Amish furniture), nothing is more important than the quality of the people who work there. It’s vitally important to us, and to you. So we take great care in deciding who works at Pat-A-Cake.

Our teachers have an enthusiastic and joyful attitude toward their profession. They not only have a thorough understanding of early childhood development, they have enormous patience, enormous hearts, and a loving way with infants and young children.

Our staff turnover is extremely low, which is significant, because children benefit from this consistency, and chances are the teachers your children will get to know and bond with here will remain with us.

We have a total of 10 teachers at Pat-A-Cake. Also important is our ratio of staff to children. In our infants’ and toddlers’ room we have a ratio of 1 to 4—which meets the CT state requirement. In our pre-school room, we typically have a ratio of 1 to 8—which exceeds not only the CT state requirement, but the ratio of some other local pre-schools.

“We were at another child care center in Greenwich . . . but the level of care, attention and learning . . . at Pat-A-Cake is far better.”
